In March 2005, Gary reunited
with his former Portland Oregon playing mates, bassist David Friesen and
drummer Alan Jones and recorded for two days at the Oasis recording studio
in Schallstadt, Germany. He wanted to do a group project with these
world-class musicians that would feature interactive improvisation within
song-form structures. The resulting CD, triune, was released in March, 2006. |

Gary Barone & Ro Kuijpers

Gary
and the Dutch percussionist Ro Kuijpers formed a duo in 1998, with which
they could express their musical ideas and personalities.
The
music is based on jazz, funk, blues and Latin African rhythms, and
features Gary's voice with the exotic sounds of Ro's percussion
instruments.
